MV. Meratus Sorong Equipped with iStow

Ships are the backbone of global trade. MV. Meratus Sorong is one of the vessels owned by PT Meratus Lines that serves international routes, namely Indonesia – China. MV Meratus Sorong is a container ship with a carrying capacity of 1300 teus.
This ship holds dual certification (dual class) from BKI/Indonesia and RINA/Italy. Each container loading is carefully planned to ensure optimal loading and compliance with all international safety requirements. Such regulations include IACS UR S1, which states “All ships with a length of 65 meters or more must be equipped with Loading Software“.

All of this was realized with the installation of iStow on MV. Meratus Sorong, on August 25, 2022, at the Teluk Lamong Terminal, Surabaya. Along with the installation, training was also conducted for the crew of MV. Meratus Sorong.
iStow on MV. Meratus Sorong is also equipped with BAPLIE features. Due to the very limited berthing time, data exchange between ships is carried out using the standard BAPLIE format. Thus, the ship can smoothly exchange loading lists and bayplans data with all ports worldwide.
