Strengthening TKDN to Support Import Product Substitution

The Domestic Component Level (TKDN) has become a primary focus in the industrial sector in Indonesia. The government continues to push for increased usage of domestic products (P3DN) and to enhance TKDN to realize self-sufficiency in the domestic industry sector. During the Coordination Meeting for Monitoring the Implementation of Presidential Instruction Number 2 of 2022 regarding the Acceleration of Increasing the Use of Domestic Products (PDN) and Products of MSMEs-Cooperatives, held at ICE BSD, Tangerang, Banten, President of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr. Joko Widodo, emphasized the need to increase the target for the use of domestic products while simultaneously improving the ecosystem to meet domestic demands.

The government has stipulated that domestically produced products mandatory for procurement of goods and services must have a TKDN value of at least 25%. The TKDN value is demonstrated by a TKDN certificate, which serves as legal proof of a product’s TKDN value.

Has iStow Met TKDN Requirements?

iStow is the first and only loading computer software product in Indonesia to obtain a TKDN certificate with a TKDN value of 75.82%. This demonstrates that iStow is ready for use in procurement of goods and services to support the increased usage of domestic products (P3DN).

With iStow successfully obtaining this TKDN certificate, we hope that iStow can play a significant role in the procurement process for goods and services, especially in Indonesia’s maritime sector. And iStow will have a significant impact on the import product substitution program.
