Training Day
Last Thursday (April 17), we held a training session for ship crew members and operational teams from various shipping companies at the National Ship Design and Engineering Center (NaSDEC). The training, themed “Digitalized Ship Stability and Cargo Handling” covered key topics including ship stability, structural strength, cargo handling, and a brief overview of regulations related to ship cargo handling.
Short and concise, the 7-hour training was attended by participants from container shipping lines, bulk carriers, offshore support vessels, maritime academies, and maritime professional. Including Samudera Indonesia Group, Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Pelayaran (STIP) Jakarta, PT. Mentari Mas Multimoda (Temas Group), etc.
Beyond theoretical insights, participants also gained hands-on experience using iStow Loading Instrument to create a loading plan for container vessels, bulk carriers, and LCT. Loading Instrument integrates complex technical calculations and simplifies the planning process, ensuring vessel’s safety and improving cargo handling efficiency.
This training marks a milestone in our journey towards more advanced training programs — all for the progress of Indonesia’s maritime industry. Thank you to all our dedicated partners!
