On September 27, 2024, a milestone was achieved at the Port of Singapore as MT. Energy River, a tanker vessel owned by MRM Tankers (S) PTE Ltd., officially joined the growing list of ships powered by the iStow Loading Computer. Operating along the busy Singapore–Malaysia route, the vessel’s upgrade marks a crucial step forward in the digitalization of tanker operations.
Installation process was impressively quick and seamless, reinforcing iStow reputation as a system that is not only fast and simple to deploy, but also proven in the field. Within minutes, iStow was up and running—ready to support the ship’s loading, stability, and voyage planning needs.

What Does Captain Think About iStow?
Following the installation, the ship’s crew took part in a hands-on training session. Thanks to iStow intuitive and user-friendly design, the crew adapted quickly. As Capt. Gagam expressed, “We had asked the services of iStow to install the loadicator program in our managed vessel Energy River. And we have found the program friendly and easier to use. Our ship staff has no difficulties of using it.” This ease of use is a key factor that allows vessels to transition smoothly into more efficient and reliable operations.
In line with maritime compliance standards, the Korean Register (KR Class) carried out a formal inspection and testing process for iStow aboard MT. Energy River. The entire evaluation was completed in record time and deemed highly successful, further validating the system’s performance and reliability.
