This video competition is organized with the goal of raising public awareness about the importance of quality sea transportation. Proper and modern ship loading is a crucial aspect to realizing the vision of safe, efficient, and dignified sea transportation in Indonesia. The key to achieving this is through digitalization.

This competition is open to all students, cadets, pupils, ship crew members, shipping company professionals, logistics/freight forwarding personnel, shipyard workers, oil and gas and mining companies, startups, creative workers, and anyone interested. Participants are free to create videos about the digitalization of shipping.

Sea Cargo Transportation in Digital Era

A. TOPIC IDEAS

1. Why is safe sea transportation important?
2. Inspirational stories from captains or crew members navigating in the digital era.
3. What are the differences between traditional and modern shipping?
4. How is digital technology advancing shipping today?
5. Why do ships capsize? How can this be simulated?
6. Can a ship break apart? Why? How can it be simulated?
7. How does digital loading benefit sea transportation?
8. What are the potential dangers of electric vehicles on ferries?
9. How is cargo arranged during the peak travel season of Eid?
10. Other relevant themes based on your imagination…

B. IT’S SIMPLE

1. Create a video lasting 2-10 minutes based on the theme above.
2. Upload the video to your YouTube channel, mention/tag @istowstowageplanning, before May 20, 2024.
3. To register, send the YouTube video link to the committee at: info@istow.id, and include your full name, address, and phone number.

C. REQUIREMENTS

1. Participants: General public.
2. Video duration: 2 to 10 minutes.
3. Intellectual property & copyright remain entirely the responsibility of the participants.
4. The video must not contain or mention SARA (ethnicity, religion, race, and inter-group relations), pornography, violence, politics, unethical, provocative, or other negative content.
5. The video must not have been previously submitted to any competition or published on any media platform.
6. Video content (models, locations, etc.) is the full responsibility of the participants.
7. The video must not contain elements of SARA, pornography, provocation, violence, or other negative content.
8. The video must not have been previously submitted to any competition or published on any media platform.

D. TIMELINE

1. Deadline for submission: May 20, 2024

E. PRIZES

1. 1st Place: Rp. 7,500,000
2. 2nd Place: Rp. 5,000,000
3. 3rd Place: Rp. 2,500,000

*The first 10 participants who submit their creative videos in March 2024 will receive a t-shirt from the committee.

F. RULES

1. Participants must include the iStow logo in the video (either at the beginning, end, or throughout the video).
2. It is not mandatory to display the iStow software in the video.
3. The committee reserves the right to publish the video on all social media platforms for promotional purposes.
4. The committee reserves the right to disqualify any video if deliberate violations are found.
5. The committee is not responsible for any copyright infringement claims caused by participants’ actions.
6. The judging process is entirely up to the Jury, based on originality, creativity of ideas, and quality of execution.
7. The committee’s decision regarding the winners and other policies is final and cannot be contested.
8. By submitting their work, participants are considered to have understood and agreed to the above conditions.

G. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Participants are not required to display the iStow software in their videos. If you would like to use the iStow software as content material, feel free to contact us via the link below.

1. Download the iStow Trial software at: http://www.istow.id/get-the-trial/. You can choose one or more types of ships, including container, tanker, bulk carrier, or ferry/ro-ro. Include “video competition” in the job title field.
2. Get the iStow license from the committee. Install and run iStow.
